Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Teacher Training

Q: How much does the training cost?
$2100. We require a $650 non refundable but transferable deposit to secure your spot. The balance can be paid on the first day of training.

Q: Is any part of the training tuition refundable?
Upon registering for the course, we are happy to transfer your enrollment from one session to another, however there will be no refunds.

Q: How do I apply?
You can fill out an application online (here).

Q: How early should I apply?
As soon as possible. To allow for personal attention, we keep our trainings small (20-25 students). We recommend applying at least one month before the starting date.

Q: How do I secure a spot?
The only way to guarantee a space in the training is with a $650 deposit paid by mailing a check to the studio address (848 Folsom Street San Francisco, CA 94107), or by calling the studio (415-543-1970) and paying by credit card.

Q: Which month should I apply for?
Whichever month works best with your schedule. The material covered remains consistent throughout the trainings.

Q: How long does the training last?
-The program is 28 days (200 hours).

Q: Can I work and attend the training at the same time?
It’s a challenging month, but we have had students hold part time jobs while doing the training.

Q: Where do I stay if I’m coming from out of town/country?
Those who wish to live around the studio during the training are advised to find subleases on the website www.craigslist.com. We also know of a few subleases through students and teachers at the studio, and offer our support in setting up accommodations with them.

Q: Is It’s Yoga affiliated with the Yoga Alliance?
YES! It's Yoga is pleased to be affiliated with The Yoga Alliance organization and our program meets their requirement for a 200 hour course.

Q: How can I continue my experience with It’s Yoga after the training?
Once you have sat in one of our trainings, you are always welcome back to do the entire training again if you wish! Or, you can come for part of any other level one training at any time. Nine past trainees have opened their own It’s Yoga studio. If you decide to do so, we facilitate the process by offering all of our resources – administrative, web design, direct advice from Larry, studio design, logos, contacts etc, etc, etc…let it grow…!
