It’s Yoga, Kids Teacher Training
Workshop (IYKT)
Incorporating yoga in your home or classroom can
have significant benefits. This course is a valuable resource
for parents, educators, or professionals working with kids
of all ages.
Yoga experience is not necessary.
The 2 to 5-hour workshop takes place in one afternoon and includes:
• It’s Yoga, Kids Teacher Training
Manual
• Principles of traditional yoga
• Themes, poses, games, partner yoga, breathing exercises
and relaxation techniques
• Specific exercises to help kids transition between
activities
• Behavior management techniques that support a positive, non-competitive environment
It’s
Yoga, Kids Certification Course (IYKC)
The courses, It's Yoga Kids for 3-7 year olds and Rocket Kids for 8-13 year olds, are comprehensive programs to certify
you to teach yoga to kids.
Yoga Alliance certification is recommended.
The intensive 10-hour course takes place over two days and
includes:
• It’s Yoga, Kids Teacher Training
Manual
• How to lesson plan, sequence and lead fun, creative
and educational yoga classes
• Ideas for incorporating art, music, books, props and
storytelling in kids' yoga classes
• Curriculum for 16-weeks complete with lesson plans,
themes and sequencing ideas
• Behavior management techniques to support a positive
and non-competitive environment
• Instructor listing on our website
IYKC completion provides:
• Certification for teaching yoga to kids ages 3-7yrs
and 8-13yrs
• Eligibility for an internship at It’s
Yoga, Kids to observe, assist & team teach
Prenatal and Yoga for Women Teacher Training
This in depth 60 hour training will teach you how to mindfully weave yoga philosophy and practice with a breadth of traditional and conventional wisdom to create a holistic approach to yoga for conception, the childbearing year, and beyond. With an emphasis on teaching Prenatal Yoga asana, meditation and breathwork, you will also learn about nutrition, common medical and midwifery practices, alternative healing modalities and birthing relaxation techniques, as well as how to work with women in all stages of life.
